Is that so? I really want one now. Nevermind that they look like locks and tape dispensers–eco-friendly AND an incentive to get out and go? I’ll take it.
So why do I get the feeling this is going to go largely unnoticed?
Kinetic energy.. been used in wrist watches instead of batteries for nearly as long as watches existed. Thing is they still run out, and then fail.. so it’s doubtful the kinetic energy charging is enough juice to keep a cell operational, especially as screens get brighter and processors more complex and communications systems more powerful, let alone enough current to drive speakers and such. Worth pursuing scientifically, however.
